Sandy was riding before she could walk and has always had a fascination for horses.
At a young age she was actively involved in Pony Club.
Sandy was one of the first women accepted into the NSW Mounted Police Section where she was stationed for 7 years. In this time she broke -in and trained many prospective Police Horses. She was also a riding instructor to constables stations at that section. Her favourite horse was the well-known racehorse ‘Favoloso’.
Constantly training a variety of horses, Sandy has competed very successfully in a number of disciplines including Dressage, Hacking, eventing, Western and sidesaddle.
Sandy has claimed a record 10 Australian Titles with the two Arabian Stallions, ‘Robali Jasper’ and ‘Cherox Houdini’.
She is currently competing with ‘Jamieson’ in Advanced level dressage.
Sandy is competing at FEI level dressage and her full time occupation is teaching dressage and schooling horses.
Sandy has worked as a wrangler with Steven on all his shows and commercials.
Sandy rode in the Olympic Opening Ceremony as part of the ‘Welcome segment’
Sandy was part of the ‘Man from Snowy River Arena Spectacular’ riding as one of ‘the crack riders’ (only female in this segment)
Sandy helped Steven train the ‘colt from Old Regret’ for the above show.
