Spot is by Wolkenstien II, a 16.1hh Hanoverian who has proven himself a fabulous sire of performance horses. His sire is the world famous WELTMEYER, the 1998 Hanoverian Stallion of the year.
His dam is Cayuse Twenty Below who is sired by Mighty Storm Song.
Spot has been a successful dressage horse with test scores of up to 74%.
At the National Appaloosa Championships, he was awarded Supreme Champion hack, Champion Novice and Champion Elementary dressage horse.
Competing at Sydney Royal, Sandy and Spot won the ridden Appaloosa hack. They were then eligible to compete against all the other winners of their respective coloured horse events for Supreme ridden champion.
He worked beautifully to win the big floral garland, we were so excited! At this show they also competed in the ridden Warmblood class, which caused a bit of a stir being a coloured horse in a WB class. He went very well again to be placed 3rd which was a great effort.

In recent times Sandy and Spot have taken up a new challenge in the form of Working Equation and will be a force to be reckoned with in this new discipline in 2015!
